Super local! Have been there for at least the fifth time and have never been disappointed. The restaurant has a nice flair and the food and the staff are really great! The only negative point is that the room above is visually and physically very cold and is not nearly as appealing as the benches at the entrance or the lower room.

The burgers were very, very tasty, but you should really praise the staff for the friendliness and the effort that the whole team went to for the day. In my opinion, it is almost no longer the rule that you meet such nice waitresses. Many thanks

5 stars for the milkshake - 1 star for the food :( The burger was unfortunately very dry and looked carelessly prepared. I also can't imagine that the things were homemade. Was my first and last visit.

All in all a good diner. The burgers were juicy and the portions were big so you at least get full and don't get up hungry like the American competition.

Visit report from 07/12/2020 We called 30 minutes in advance to find out if we could get a free table. Although the restaurant was very busy, we were able to reserve a seat. The Corona regulation is complied with and always with one free table to the other as a demarcation. We have been to the diner several times and have always been very satisfied. The American Diner is worth every look, regardless of whether you are sitting inside or outside. It's a diner like an old Hollywood movie. The food is good and for an American diner on top level with very good quality. That day I ordered a veggie burger there for the first time. When ordering, I said it was a shame that there was only one vegetarian burger to choose from. The waitress then told me that you can convert any burger there into a veggie burger. I was pleasantly surprised, but also immediately said that it is unfortunately not on the menu and that this information is damn important for the menu, as many people nowadays want to avoid meat consumption. She told me that she passed it on. You can pay in cash or with an EC card. Advance reservation is recommended. The staff is always friendly, they just need to be retrained in order to keep the company's turnover in mind. There is no view of when a guest would like to order another drink, the staff has to get a better view here. The toilets are in the upper part of the diner and were always clean.

Wonderful place ! I recommend 100%! Delicious burgers, at low prices and in a typical atmosphere. Many products are imported directly, which gives an additional charm.

An American diner, yes ok, the atmosphere is very good and you feel very comfortable, I would give it almost 4-5 stars. Unfortunately the food is not what I expect from a diner, the burger patty was rather frozen.

Great ambience in American diner style. Super nice and attentive service. The portions are large, the food is tasty but we didn't find it exceptional. For that reasonably priced. Still worth a visit!

Great spot and good food. We all had a different chicken burger with different fries..all delicious! They even had root beer! Delicious mozzarella sticks as well and friendly service! It's right if the autobahn too so an easy stop for travelers.

One the best burger places in Karlsruhe. Very good tasting burgers. There are many varities including a vegatarian burger, which is suprisingly delicious even for non-vegetarians. Prices are quite reasonable compared to the fullfilling portions. Burgers come in menu style combined with choice of fries and a side salsa. The place is rather small and is usually very crowded, you might need to wait to get a table especially in lunch hours. Would definetely recommend.

I love the American Diner! This was the 3rd time to eat there. There is extra parking around the back. If you are coming for the first time it is all the around the back and on the side. It’s often empty there when I arrive. The front is a classic American metal diner. Then there is a large dining room in the back and also a second floor. The burgers are very good. For an American eating there an issue you will have with with the cucumbers. They aren’t pickles. Just cucumber slices. Regular fries, chili fries, and sweet potato fries are all very good. Sweet potato fries could use a sweet sauce. They have cans of root beer. That’s rare in Germany. That’s because root beer is the flavor someone decided to use long ago for cough syrup! They also have pancakes on the menu but I have not seen anyone with them yet. Maybe next time....

Great burgers, awesome place

Good food price and service

Very friendly staff, good food and drinks. The front looks cool, also a good casual date venue, but the back room feels a bit cheap. During summer the garden is pretty nice as well. Prices are reasonable and they accept all kinds of credit cards not just the weird german ones. My main minus is that the burger is always overcooked.

Very cool location. It’s like going back in time several years. Sometimes in Germany when you order food the quality is better than what I’d get back in Canada. The food was good, certainly tasty- but not out of this world. Not that „better Made in Germany „ quality. Nonetheless, servers were alright, location was fun, and food was good.

The food is generally great and the place really looks like an American Diner. I just thought their barbecue sauce was too sweet for my taste.

They have really nice burger menus. Place has a nice ambiance like it is from an American movie. In the evening, it may be hard to find a place to eat. I ate two different burgers and they both delicious. However, it is really hard to eat because of their size :) The other best thing in here is the vanilla coke which I really like. If you like burger, I really advise you to come here and eat something.
